A NEW TWIST ON A ‘HUNTSVILLE CLASSIC’
Anderson East to headline annual Huntsville Hospital Foundation fundraiser
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Tickets are now on sale for Huntsville Hospital Foundation’s 32nd annual Huntsville Classic featuring Anderson East, with performances by Joy Oladokun and Briston Maroney. The virtual concert is Friday, May 14, and tickets start at only $20.
This is a unique opportunity to see three powerful artists from the comfort of your own home. All three have notable accolades, and the 2021 Huntsville Classic is the first opportunity to see each perform for this market.
• East, who has collaborated with stars like Ed Sheeran and Chris Stapleton, has been on the rise since his first major-label album in 2015. He received a 2019 GRAMMY-Award nomination for Best American Roots Performance for his song "All On My Mind”. He is an Athens, Ala. native who now calls Nashville home.
• Oladokun is a singer-songwriter who wows with her special blend of folk, R&B and pop. She recently performed on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and The Today Show, and her music has been played on TV hits This Is Us and Grey’s Anatomy. Oladokun will release a new album this spring and is a 2021 Artist to Watch according to Spotify, Amazon Music, and NPR.
• Maroney has performed at South by Southwest and the Austin City Limits Music Festival. His music continues to amass millions of streams, including his new single “Still Cool If You Don’t” (out now), with his debut album coming out April 9.

The past year has been unlike anything any of us have experienced. Through it all, the amazing team at Huntsville Hospital has worked to test, care for and vaccinate our region. This event is one small way we can say thank you.”
All proceeds will support the needs of not-for-profit Huntsville Hospital, Madison Hospital, and Huntsville Hospital for Women & Children through Huntsville Hospital Foundation.

Since 1989, Huntsville Classic has raised more than $7 million and contributed significantly to the growth of Huntsville and Madison Hospitals. The 2019 Huntsville Classic raised a record $520,000 in net proceeds for the Heart Institute at Huntsville Hospital. The 2020 concert was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show goes on this May thanks to a creative virtual concert format.
