Katie Coppens is an award-winning public relations professional with almost 15 years of experience. She serves as the director of communications for Huntsville Hospital Foundation and leads all public relations, marketing and digital fundraising initiatives for the nonprofit, which provides more than $6 million in equipment and programs annually for Huntsville Hospital Health System. Prior to her move to Huntsville in 2017, Katie was a senior account executive at MP&F Strategic Communications in Nashville – one of the largest PR firms in the southeast – where she was named Staff MVP.

Katie has served as the VP of communications for the North Alabama Public Relations Council of Alabama, and is a member of Junior League of Huntsville. Born and raised in Oneonta, Ala., Katie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama. She and her husband, Zack, have two children, Nora and Henry.
