Planned Giving

Providing for the health of your family, friends and neighbors, no matter what the future holds.

Planned giving may enable you to:
- set an example by demonstrating the values you hold dear
- provide for the future of the hospital, making a lasting impact on the care that it provides
- reduce your tax burden or that of your heirs

Here are some of the easiest and most common ways to begin planning your legacy:

A gift in your will

Maintain control of your assets during your lifetime with a gift to support HHF at your death – Designate HHF as a beneficiary of your estate by will, trust or other instrument.· Your legacy gift can be a specific asset, specific dollar amount, or a percentage of your estate.

A Gift Through Beneficiary Designation

Utilize this simple, inexpensive way to provide a future gift while you continue to use the plan, policy, fund, or account as you wish.

A Gift of Life Insurance

Transfer ownership of a policy to HHF. Receive an immediate tax deduction. If you continue to pay the premiums, those payments are tax deductible. This can result in a significant gift.

You may designate your gift as unrestricted so that it can be used to meet the areas of greatest need or you may direct it to a specific program or department.

Planned givers impact our hospitals, community and region.

“Huntsville Hospital is community-owned. It’s the place anyone, regardless of resources or station in life, can go for care. That’s important to me. So important I want to be part of it even after I’m dead and gone.”

Helen Vaughn

“We need this hospital and supporting it financially is a responsibility. Our children know about this future obligation and have endorsed it. That makes us feel good.”

Audrey and Bob Gustafson

“Huntsville Hospital has always stood by its mission – to provide high-quality care that improves the health of those we serve. It was very easy for me to select Huntsville Hospital for my planned gift ... This gift is in honor of my mom, who was also a nurse, who taught me to love people unconditionally and to give wholeheartedly without expecting anything in return.”

Linda Chester

“As the Huntsville Hospital Health System has grown, our citizens expect to receive their care here rather than in another city. And we count on the asset of high-quality health care as we compete to attract jobs.”

Huntsville Mayor Tommy Battle
