A note from HHF President Sarah Savage-Jones: A personal update and an exciting next chapter

Announcing HHF's next President

No video selected.

I have had the privilege of serving as President of Huntsville Hospital Foundation over the last seven years, and working with an incredibly talented team, board and hospital co-workers throughout Madison County.

As many of you know, Huntsville Hospital holds a special place in my heart. My children were born here. I lost my infant daughter here in the NICU. The clinicians here saved my husband’s life. During all of those times, our clinicians and staff took such great care of us, and I am honored to have had a role in providing for them and our patients.

As Chaucer is credited for first saying, “all good things must come to an end.” As of June 30, 2026, I am stepping down as HHF President, to enter a new chapter in my life.

While I will be stepping out of a full-time role, my focus will turn to what my next 20 years will look like. I plan to resume my family contingency planning work with my small business, Acair, and work on needs with my family timber business. For the last 35 years, I have called Huntsville my home, and had the joy of serving the best city in the U.S. and watching it grow.

The great news in this change is that Amy George will be my successor, stepping in as HHF President effective July 1, 2026. I have enjoyed working with Amy, who is beloved by our HHF team, donors and community. She will do a terrific job in this new leadership role, and guide HHF into a new era of growth and purpose to meet the demands of our dynamic community’s growth.

Please join me in welcoming Amy, and supporting our HHF team and board during this transition. Your generosity during my tenure has been tremendous, and your gifts have healed the bodies, hearts and souls of our patients and caregivers. Thank you for giving me this gift of serving you – I look forward to great things to come!

With gratitude,

Sarah Savage-Jones

President, Huntsville Hospital Foundation
